Microsoft Launches Office 365 Cloud Service Globally

Microsoft has officially launched its cloud service Office 365. The software giant announced the availability of its latest cloud-based offering today at the media events across the world. Office 365 is now available in 40 markets, and it unifies Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Lync Online in an always-up-to-date subscription based cloud service.

Microsoft said in a press release that since Office 365 beta was launched in 2010, more than 200,000 organizations signed up to test the service. According to the company, businesses that are using Office 365 are seeing significant benefits in terms of IT costs reduction (up to 50%) and increased productivity.  Read More

Microsoft Launches Office 365 Public Beta

Microsoft announced today the public beta of Office 365, the company’s suite of cloud-based business productivity services. Microsoft Office 365 was introduced in a limited beta in October last year, and the company says that more than 100,000 organizations signed up to test the service.

Office 365 unifies the software giant’s existing online application offerings including Microsoft Office web apps, SharePoint Online, Lync, and Exchange Online. This subscription based service integrates cloud-based syncing and collaboration and allows users to access their productivity apps from anywhere in the world and from almost any device or browser.
