Partner Program Offers Kaspersky Lab Resellers Opportunities for Profit and Growth

Kaspersky Lab North America has announced significant enhancements to its reseller Partner Program, increasing its investment and commitment to its U.S. and Canadian reseller partners. The enhanced program offers not only increased opportunities for profit and growth, but a world-class ecosystem of tools, incentives and support to help partners stand out in today’s competitive security industry.

It’s no secret that the IT security landscape currently faces significant challenges: sophisticated attacks and complex cyberespionage campaigns targeting corporations are becoming all too frequent. In response to the changing threat landscape, resellers must provide their customers with a security solution that is easy to implement and manage but doesn’t compromise on quality and efficacy. At the same time, they must invest in a Partner Program that promises profitability and a deep commitment from the security solution vendor. A partnership with Kaspersky Lab delivers superior margins, rewards and support with market – leading security solutions that will attract, retain and protect customers.

The newly enhanced program is a direct result of feedback received from partners and is designed with their needs in mind. The framework of the program will be based on a tiered structure and consists of Registered, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers. The key program advantages include:

  • 100% Partner Focus: All Kaspersky Lab business products are sold through partners. That means the entire program was developed specifically to respond to their needs. Kaspersky Lab continues to build on this focus by launching the Partner Demand Center as part of the new program where partners will have access content and ready-to-go marketing campaigns that can easily be co-branded and executed to drive leads directly back to them.
  • Exceptional Profit & Growth: Kaspersky Lab continues to invest heavily in partners through lucrative deal registration and incentive programs, helping them to surpass their sales goals with MDF, leads and joint business planning. Under the new program, partners have the ability to achieve up to 50 percent margins and will be rewarded with additional incentives beyond that, including the addition of a new Partner Loyalty Program that rewards the owners of VAR and MSP partners for all sales on an ongoing basis.
  • Comprehensive Partner Team: Partners will continuously benefit from expert assistance from a highly responsive and comprehensive team of channel account managers, sales engineers and Kaspersky Lab expert marketing professionals. Additionally, a new feature of the program allows Platinum Partners to receive joint business planning on a quarterly basis; Gold Partners on an annual basis. Joint business planning further enables partners to drive even more sales.
  • Award-Winning Products: In January 2015 for the fourth consecutive year, Gartner named Kaspersky Lab a “Leader” in the Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Solutions. Kaspersky Lab gives customers the power to protect what matters most to them. More than 270,000 organizations and 400 million users around the world trust Kaspersky Lab’s top-rated security solutions.
  • This program is the new standard so partners can be confident in their investment with Kaspersky Lab. Partners should contact their Kaspersky Lab channel account manager or visit the Partner Portal for more program details.

    Dell Cloud Access Manager 8.0 Enables Secure and Convenient Application Access

    Dell has announced the release of Dell One Identity Cloud Access Manager 8.0, which leverages Dell’s new Security Analytics Engine to give organizations control of web-based applications and OpenID Connect-compliant mobile application access activities within the organization. This control improves security and enables easier, appropriate access across a wide range of application types and access scenarios. Adding new social and mobile authentication capabilities, Cloud Access Manager gives users secure and convenient access to the broadest range of both legacy and emerging applications, while providing IT with the security and control it requires.

    Cloud Access Manager 8.0 addresses a number of customer pain points. Organizations today typically have a highly diverse user population as well as partners and customers who require access but are completely outside of IT’s control. All of these users require instant, always-on access to a variety of applications – on-premises, cloud-based and mobile – and IT must be able to provide this access with unparalleled security that enhances business agility, while still protecting critical corporate assets and data.

    The evolution of both the user and the application requires an evolution in the way organizations approach access management and security. They must switch from traditional approaches addressing point-in-time risk and security implemented in silos, to an adaptive approach focusing on contextual security that ensures access is appropriate in real-time, while moving security from a productivity barrier to a business enabler.

    Cloud Access Manager provides unified single sign-on that includes federation and legacy authentication types, along with the capabilities of Dell’s Security Analytics Engine to execute security in context – the “who, what, where, how, and why” of access activities – and adjust enforcement to ideally suit the situation. Dell’s Security Analytics Engine correlates this contextual information with enforcement capabilities to make all access appropriate every time, all the time, and without hindering productivity for an ever-evolving user who continues to access applications in new and more complex ways. New features in Cloud Access Manager 8.0 include:

  • Security Analytics Engine: Performs run-time risk evaluations that help companies scale security based on situational context, ensuring appropriate access for the right situations at the right time. Included with Cloud Access Manager 8.0 at no extra charge
  • Social Authentication: Further addresses user password fatigue for customers who wish to enable single sign-on through a user’s social media properties, including Google, Microsoft Live ID, Facebook and Twitter
  • OpenID Connect Protocol Support: Enables support for modern web and mobile applications using this next-generation identity protocol based on OAuth 2.0
  • Microsoft Certification: Cloud Access Manager has been validated by Microsoft as part of their “Works with Office 365” Identity Partner Program

    When Big Data and the Cloud Team up for Marketing

    Knowledge really is power when it comes to marketing, and businesses can use big data to learn more about their customers than ever before. However, getting the right infrastructure and expertise to use big data effectively can seem like a challenge for businesses. That’s where the Cloud comes in. The Cloud offers businesses of all sizes, from multi-nationals right down to tiny startups, a more cost effective and often more user friendly way to use big data. So just how do the Cloud and big data work together?

    Big Data Offers Valuable Insights
    As the following article shows, there’s no doubt that big data and marketing go hand-in-hand. Big data offers businesses the chance to gain detailed insights into customer behavior and desires. Those insights can be used to make a noticeable difference to the success of their products and services. Say for example a business wants to increase the effectiveness of their social media strategy.

    By analyzing the available big data, they could learn:

    What their customers are talking about on social media
    Their customers’ social media habits, including when they log on, how often and for how long;
    Which kinds of content generate the most likes or shares;
    What kind of offers or contests attract the most interest;
    Whether using social media for promotion leads to increased sales.
    All of this information could be used to refine their social media strategy to get better results by giving their customers what they want. Big data has a myriad of uses, from sales to customer opinions, to which problems customers want solved and predicting future trends. Big data offers businesses massive amounts of information, among which are hidden the kind of treasures that can help a business stand out from its competitors.

    Cloud Offers Flexibility
    One thing big data doesn’t usually offer is flexibility. A business owner considering using big data could understandably get caught up in just how they’re going to harvest, store and manage all that data. That’s where the Cloud and big data play well together. Cloud-based big data solutions offer businesses a way of handling big data that is light on infrastructure and hardware, and high on flexibility and scalability.

    There’s no need for a business to house the physical hardware to handle big data, as the Cloud service has already taken care of that. Using a Cloud-based service to handle big data also means a business can scale up and down as needed. If they need to run large queries over the short term, and then scale back again, they can. That means using big data just got more cost effective.

    Bridging the Big Data Gap
    For businesses who want to embrace big data but feel overwhelmed by the practicalities of analyzing it, the Cloud can help to bridge that gap. Although planning out what needs to be analyzed and how best to source and sort that data is still very important, planning big data analysis in the cloud isn’t quite as daunting as planning it on site.

    When it comes to analyzing the data, Cloud-based applications are frequently designed with user-friendliness in mind; offering easy to use control panels and clear, easy to understand reporting. Businesses who want to make better use of big data should find that by shopping around they’ll be able to find a Cloud-bases solution that meets their needs. The Cloud has the potential to make big data more accessible without compromising on the quality of the insights, making big data and the Cloud a partnership that businesses of all sizes can benefit from.

    This Year’s Tech Supports Your Sales Efforts

    Technology and sales are almost inseparable these days. Salespeople are constantly on the go and need tools to help them connect with their team, access vital data and present their pitches to potential clients. So, what tech tools does your sales team need? Keep reading to find out.

    Wearable Tech
    One of the newest communicative technologies is the Samsung Gear S smartwatch, which has all of the functionality of your smartphone. This device links your sales team into the larger infrastructure of your business by giving them real time access to calendars, documents and emails. With a little clever app work, they can even log into shared printers and deliver official papers all from their watch. This gadget is perfect for traveling salespeople because it can go everywhere with them without the risk of being lost or forgotten.

    Laptops
    Your sales team needs a computer everywhere they go. This is a simple fact of revenue building. These men and women are the face of your products in the real world, and the technology they carry not only keeps them connected to your business, but also reflects on the quality of your organization.

    Not all laptops are the same. Large, bulky and underpowered systems can cost you a client. This is why Samsung introduced its ultralight, super powerful Ativ Book 9 Plus at CES this year. This 13-inch computer packs a lot of power into its slim body, which weighs a little less than two pounds. This makes the laptop more portable, and with 11 hours of battery life, you won’t have to worry about your computer shutting down in the middle of a presentation.

    Rugged Storage
    Data storage is a huge issue, especially for a mobile sales team. Large data files cannot be easily downloaded at a local coffee shop or transported from device to device. This can cost you potential clients if you can’t show them your sales pitch in a timely manner. So, for times when your people need a lot of storage, consider using a large portable storage device, such as LaCie’s Rugged RAID 4-terabyte model that is water, dust and impact resistant. This storage unit is designed to be dropped up to five feet and withstand one ton of pressure. This means that if your salesperson accidentally drops it or even runs it over with a car, there would be no damage to the valuable data inside.

    Brainstorming Tools
    Although this year’s CES showcased a plethora of great tech tools for businesses, one that stood out was the SMART Kapp. This digital white board turns your sales meeting into an interactive and digitally retrievable multi-system workspace. Anything written on this dry-erase board is electronically captured so that your remote team members can see it in real time. They can view this information on a smartphone, tablet or laptop. And most importantly, the system is HTTPS secured so you do not need to worry about the information being seen by the wrong people. Using the Kapp system lets your sales team be involved in the company’s strategy without needing to bring them in from the field.

    BizCloud Selects OrionVM Wholesale Cloud Platform to Expand Cloud Offering

    OrionVM®, a leading provider of wholesale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and next-generation cloud technology, and BizCloud® Inc., a leading edge provider of cloud IaaS solutions, announced today that BizCloud has entered into a reseller partnership agreement with OrionVM. OrionVM’s Wholesale Cloud Platform will power enterprise-grade cloud solutions offered by BizCloud. This collaboration enables BizCloud to extend its current service offerings, expand into new verticals, and deliver increased value to existing clients.

    “We serve a growing array of customers worldwide, and we wanted to offer the latest in cloud technology to address where the market is headed. Because we’re making an offensive play, we needed to get to market quickly, with an easy-to-use, efficient and well-supported product. We were extremely impressed by OrionVM’s new approach to cloud architecture, full reseller capabilities, and unmatched cost efficiencies,” said Vahid Razavi, Founder and CEO of BizCloud. “This partnership allows us to offer greater value and performance to our business customers, as well as to expand into new markets with a high-performing, enterprise-grade wholesale cloud IaaS suite.”

    Through OrionVM, BizCloud is able to deliver world-class cloud at a remarkably lower cost because of efficiencies enabled by using components commonly found in supercomputers, such as Mellanox’s Infiniband® interconnect. OrionVM’s breakthrough technology and fully distributed architecture empowers service providers (MSPs, SIs, VARs and telcos alike) to deliver an optimum cloud competency with rapid time-to-market minus the hurdle of any capital expenditure. OrionVM earned the backing of tech luminary Gordon Bell, and is well-positioned to completely disrupt the market by providing enterprise-class cloud infrastructure at a fraction of the cost of incumbent vendors.

    “We see our platform, and wholesale cloud in general, as the game-changing third option for companies trapped between the massive CapEx and complexity of building their own solution versus the limited features and extreme scaling costs of public retailers such as Amazon. Now IT providers, like BizCloud, can brand and offer enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure at a lower cost than the leading incumbent options, and still make a profit. OrionVM not only passes along a huge pricing advantage for channel partners, we also enable these partners to provide the best performing, most reliable cloud IT on the market to their end-users – so everybody wins,” said Sheng Yeo, OrionVM Co-Founder and CEO. “Next-generation cloud is the freedom and flexibility to fit a cloud platform to your business model and unique operational requirements, not force them into a predetermined box, which typically occurs when using any of the competing traditional approaches.”

    BizCloud has helped organizations worldwide build scalable, robust and agile IT infrastructures with BizCloud private, hybrid and public cloud offerings. BizCloud partners with leading information technology and infrastructure providers to offer comprehensive, best-of-breed solutions to its customers. Through the partnership with OrionVM, BizCloud will broaden its cloud solutions portfolio to offer complete, enterprise ready cloud solutions with unrivaled price-performance ratios.
