COUNTERING DISCRIMINATION AND INTIMIDATION IN PEACE AND DISARMAMENT: SUPPORTING ADVOCATES FOR PALESTINE

NGO campaigns working in peace and disarmament are plagued by Western-centric and racist structures. The response to Israel’s genocide in Gaza by several Western led NGOs, including through discrimination, intimidation and silencing of human rights advocates speaking up for Palestine, exemplifies the deep-rooted prejudice held towards the legitimate views and aspirations of non-white and Global Majority states and stakeholders. This seminar examines these practices in light of the events at Stop Killer Robots, a coalition of 250+ civil society organizations across 70+ states, led by world leading peace and disarmament NGOs. In October 2023, leaders of the campaign dismissed Ousman Noor as Government Relations Manager, after he spoke up against apartheid, ethnic cleansing and occupation in Palestine, while coalition members calling for accountability and transparency have since been ignored.

Following a personal Tweet calling for an end to occupation, apartheid and ethnic cleansing in Palestine, his employment was terminated.

Launching Your Product in the US? Here’s What You Need to Know

If you’re a company looking to launch your product in the United States, you need to be aware of the specific challenges and opportunities that come with doing so. The US market is complex, and there are several things you need to consider if you want to be successful. This blog post will discuss some of the most important factors to consider when launching your product in the US.

We need to acknowledge that the US market and North America as a whole is a vast territories. You are covering 4700 kilometers and a 5-hour time zone difference. If you plan on in-person meetings and events, you will spend much of your time traveling between various cities. For your launch, you should budget the cost and time spent on travel. Business deals are not often done in one meeting; it takes time to close deals and win opportunities.

Just because you hired an agency or a small sales team, it does not guarantee success. You need to create market awareness and do demand generation campaigns. There are many ways to generate demand: trade shows, webinars, content marketing, and social media. It would be best if you also considered hiring a BizCloud to get your product in front of the right people.

When launching your product in the US, you must be mindful of the various state regulations. Depending on what industry you are in, there are different compliance issues that you need to be aware of. For example, in the healthcare industry, you must comply with HIPAA. You must comply with employment laws and data privacy regulations in California and other states.

You must also be mindful of cultural differences when launching your product in the US. What may be considered normal or polite in your home country may not be viewed the same way in the US.

Marketing and sales are not the only factors to a successful launch. It would help if you considered how your product will be used in this market. What type of language or product changes must be made. For example, if you are launching a product in the US that requires measurements in metric, you will need to make sure your product can be easily converted to imperial.

Having proper translation of your SaaS solution with documentation for help and support is important. Do not launch a product haphazerdly without the ability to service your new found customers. If your product is targeted towards a global audience, it is important to consider how you will localize your product for the US market. This may involve changing some of the language used in your product, as well as providing documentation and support in English.

How will you handle the technology infrustructure for your SaaS business? Will you use Amazon, Google or Microsoft infrastructure or setup dedicated servers?

You should also consult with an accountant or attorney familiar with US business law to ensure that you take all the necessary steps to launch your product legally and compliantly in the US.

Finally, you will need to consider the logistics of launching your product in the US. This may involve setting up a US-based company, warehouse, and distribution and channel partners. Are you looking to raise capital in the US? Will you be seeking venture funding for your products? Where should the company headquarters be based from and why?

At BizCloud we have the experince and know how to help you with a successful North America launch. We would be happy to discuss your product launch needs and how we can assist you. Thank you for considering BizCloud for your product offerings.

Partnering in Tech based on Shared Goals and Values!

Businesses are always looking for ways to improve their reach and expand their customer base. One way to do this is by partnering with another business that shares your same goals and values. When businesses partner together, it can create a powerful alliance that can help both companies achieve success! In this blog post, we will discuss the benefits of partnering with other businesses, and how to find the right partners for your company.

There are many benefits to partnering with another business. One of the most important benefits is that it can help you reach a new customer base. When two businesses partner together, they can share resources and knowledge to help each other grow. This partnership can also lead to new opportunities for both companies, and help them tap into new markets.

In addition, partnering with another business can help you build a stronger relationship with your customers. When customers see that you are working with another company that they trust, it can help build confidence in your own brand.

If you are interested in partnering with another business, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, it is important to find a partner that shares your same goals and values. This will help ensure that you are working together towards a common goal. It is also important to find a partner that you can trust, and who has a good reputation. You want to make sure that you are working with a company that you can rely on, and who will help you grow your business.

Partnering with another business can be a great way to reach new customers, build stronger relationships, and you can trust each other. Second, it is important to consider the size of the other business. You want to make sure that the partnership is beneficial for both companies, and that it is not too one-sided. Watch out when partnering with Big Tech Companies. They use your sales data and business practices against you. You pay a price in the long term by partnering with the likes of Amazon.

Third, you will want to consider the terms of the partnership. You want to make sure that you are both comfortable with the agreement, and that it is fair for both companies. Make sure to discuss things like how long the partnership will last, what each company will contribute, and how decisions will be made. By taking the time to discuss these things up front, you can avoid any conflict down the road.

Work with BizCloud. Partner with US! We would love to share with you our strategy and business practices.
